Friday Mashup!

I am in papercrafting mode!  And I was trying to remember some of my favorite challenges from "way back when" I used to craft regularly. The Friday Mashup! was one of those challenges.  This week's challenge is to use markers and/or texture.  I used markers on the image coloring and an embossing folder for texturizing. The first one uses SU's rich razzleberry cardstock as the primary color along with the A Flower For All Seasons ss. I'm not sure which SU sss the sentiment comes from 'cause I got some of the sentiments mixed up from their original sets :(  The decorative corner punch is also from SU!

I have tons of paper that needs to get used up. This is some CTMH paper.  I made a dozen of these cards and left some blank for when I need a thank you, praying for you or happy birthday and don't have time to make one.

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS(E) This Sketch/CAS-ual Fridays

I love Fridays. And not just the Fridays that are the start of a three day weekend. One of the things I love about Fridays is that there are a number of clean and simple challenges posted on Thursdays and Fridays to check out over the weekend. I'm a huge fan of clean and simple.  Here are two cards where I combined two challenges. They took a total of thirty minutes to create. Yup, I'm a fan of clean and SIMPLE :)

The sketch from CAS(E) This is totally awesome and I have a dozen ideas running around in my head. I'm hoping to make a couple dozen cards this weekend.  I also used the CAS-ual Fridays challenge which was to use black, white and one other color. I might have chosen different colors (bolder?) but I went with scraps that were already strewn on one of my tables.  You should check out both challenges for some incredible inspiration!

A little SU Old Olive cardstock and  embossing folders and cricut diecuts (Artiste Cartridge) and simple sentiment.

More Artiste Cartridge die cuts, and SU So Saffron cardstock, along with some OLD OLD letter stickers and simple stamp sentiments.

CAS(E) this Sketch challenge

It has been so long I'm not even sure I can remember how to do a blogspot post :)
I received the BEST early birthday present...the new CTMH cricut cartridge!  Which was enough to send me down to the craft room to see if I remember how to make cards lol.  I started out with a quick and simple valentine card for the HH, using the new Later Sk8r paper. I LOVE THIS PAPER PACK!!!  I also used the Whoooo's Your Valentine stamp set.

I am linking this up with the CAS(E) This Sketch!

I Did It! (Calendar Pages FINISHED!)

At least I accomplished THAT much. 7 layouts in one day in between/after church and the Denver Chalk Art Festival.  (They may not be my best work, but they are by far my fastest work!)
But I also had an epic FAIL.  I love the Lasting Memories challenge - there's always a "challenge" and a layout. This week's challenge was Fancy Folds. I thought I could do it.  I even have the Fancy Folds book.  But I am so inept sometimes.  I tried making some fancy folded leaves. Epci. Fail.  So...I just folded down a corner of my paper. That way I could participate in the challenge and direct you, my readers, over to all of the awesome creations on the challenge site :)

See that little fold  up in the corner? :)

Here's some more layouts:

The rest of the pages are here, on my facebook page.

Now that I'm done, the HH and I can happily take off for our little romantic get-away with no pressing projects awaiting me when I get home :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Let The Calendar Pages Begin...

The goal?
12 scrap book pages in 3 days, in between a number of other activities.
I told my sister I would make another calendar for her in 2012. Hey, who says a 12 month calendar has to begin with January?  Mine's gonna begin with June. Which means it needs to be mailed withing the next couple of days!(In my defense, a month ago I ordered her a digital version from Sam's Club thinking I would wait until next year to create one.  After receiving the Sam's one, I am more certain than ever that nothing compares to a REAL scrapbook page :)  I'll send her both...I'm sure she can find a use for the second one.)
Let the calendar pages begin... The challenge at Heart 2 Heart this week is to incorporate a photo into your project. Ought to be easy enough...

A friend recently gifted me with the Close To My Heart Dotty For You paper pack which is what I used for this page. I also used some old CTMH stamps. It was a quick and easy layout. Let's hope the other 11 are equally easy and quick :)
